This solo is the result of collaboration between Claudio Machado and Clara Garcia Espada that emerged from the relation between dance and theater, having the play “Gota d’Água” from Chico Buarque y Paulo Pontes as an inspiration. This text is a brazilian adaptation from the greek tragedy, Medeia, from Eurípides.
Text, estate and movement are the motor of this piece of work. Here, the audience visits Joana and embodies the physical story from a woman who is calibrated with love and hate, who is ready to move along against roles and statements of a patriarchal society. Within her body, the pain and desire from others and in her movements, the weight and relief of destruction.
