Clara Garcia Espada is a dancer, actress, performer and cultural producer.
She began her experience at the age of 11 with the urban dance and Hiphop company Uniq, in Barcelona, where he performed for 10 years creating and participating in championships, becoming national champion in 2005 and European in 2006.
In 2008 she moved to Berlin-Germany where she graduated in Dance and Choreography at Die Etage Schule für Darstellende Kunst. There she developed and realized different dance projects and worked with different choreographers such as Shusaku Takeuchi, Jennifer Mann, Elisabeth Clarke-Hasters, Saskia Assohoto, among others. She also dedicated her time teaching dance regularly and developing socio-cultural projects. In 2015, she joined the physical theater company antagon TheaterAKTion, performing at festivals in Europe, Asia and Central America. She created and realized different cultural and social projects, as a teacher, producer and cultural manager.
Currently, she works as an independent artist between Spain, Germany and Brazil where together with Claudio Machado is dedicated working within União Instável Creaciones. Creator and producer of Porto Brasil, a brazilian performing arts and cultural exhibition at the Sommerwerft Internationales Theater Festival in Frankfurt, Germany. In Sommerwerft Festival she is curator of the “Night of Dance”, since 2015, together with Anna Orkolainen.
